This is what it’s all about

Finding Meaning Amongst The Mess

I don’t have all the answers. I’m not here to hand out travel tips or pretend I’ve figured anything out. What I do have is a deep curiosity about the world and a growing sense that life is meant to be lived with open eyes and an open heart. Somewhere along the way, I decided that I didn’t want to just visit places. I wanted to listen to them. To sit quietly, to watch, to learn, and to let the experience change me.

This journey isn’t about checking off countries or chasing comfort. It’s about walking into the unknown, both in the world and within myself. Some days that means wandering through a crowded street where the air hums with voices and color. Other days it means standing alone in a landscape so still it feels like time has stopped. I’m learning that both have something to teach.

The I Ching has become my companion along the way. It’s an ancient voice that helps me see patterns when life feels chaotic and reminds me to move with, not against, the current. I don’t use it to predict the future. I use it to understand the present, to look at where I stand and what the moment is asking of me. It keeps me honest. It reminds me that nothing stays the same, that every ending opens a door, and that patience often reveals what rushing never will.

Through this space, I hope to share the journey, not as a guide but as a fellow traveler. There will be mistakes, detours, and unexpected kindness. There will be laughter, frustration, and quiet beauty found in places most people overlook. I’ll tell the stories as they come, through words, images, and moments that move me.

If you’re reading this, maybe you’ve felt that same pull, that sense that there’s more to life than what fits on a screen or in a routine. Maybe you’ve wondered what would happen if you just started walking and trusted that the path would reveal itself. If so, you’re in good company.

This isn’t about escape. It’s about connection, to the land, to strangers, to the small truths that show up when you least expect them. It’s about listening to the rhythm of a place and recognizing a piece of yourself in it.

I don’t know exactly where this road leads, and that’s the point. What I do know is that I want to meet it with curiosity, humility, and a willingness to keep learning.

So come along if you’d like. Let’s see where The Way takes us.
